Tank had a bad outting against Cruz because he had a hurt hand. He was not embarrassed in the least. Showed heart and grit. Punch counts show the fight a 6-6 draw.
Like I said Tank knocks mother****ers out in the language of the revered late beloved 2 weight divisions world champion and trainer and beloved Uncle to Floyd Uncle Roger Mayweather the Black Mamba. Some of the idiotic commentators here should be forced to have sparring sessions with Tank then we shall see how brave they are. Clowns have the audacity to call Tank a coward , typical key board warriors.
Whilst i don't think any Boxer happens to be a coward (they all at one stage step in to the ring) you often call Ryan Garcia a coward
I actually call him Crybaby but if the cap fits! However rather than call him a coward I would rather give him a worse insult by saying he is a disgrace to his Mexican heritage.
I see: Tank 3-0 2ko's This is very weird, like really weird...........the lengths people go through to discredit any success a fighter has. That shows your character is very flawed........... Santa Cruz is a very good fighter, and was on the receiving end of a highlight reel knockout. Pitbull lost to an injured Tank (if Tank brawled, you'd call him a crude slugger, he boxed intelligent while hurt/now he got embarrassed and ran), make up your minds, you can't have it both ways Romero talked immensely, won the first two round because Tank threw them away then proceeded deer leg Romero. How did Tank get clowned..........who's the person with 30+ memes of them looking googly eyed? It ain't Tank. You guys talk so much **** about Tank but the funny thing is, Tank is almost universally celebrated by his peers (other boxers), everyone regardless of weight class almost all universally recognize Tank as a special talent...............so other boxers all see Tank as a top guy, but Rolly, Teo and people on here don't...........oh ok
I had Romero up at the time of the stoppage. Tank didn't really land anything significant. He was running but never seemed too stressed.
I tell you what is weird.. Men trying to give as much credit possible to other men for carefully cherrypicking opposition, rarely fighting a live dog... That is ****ing strange... Tank and his promotional team have clearly suckered a lot of naive people here on the basis of a trash dog pile of a resume. This is stuff is obvious. And it's beyond paranormal that people can't see through it. I don't think a lot of you guys understand that size can often be the decisive factor in fights. Tank was significantly bigger than Cruz in the fight. Tank was getting outboxed until Cruz did something extremely amateur - throw 3 consecutive right hands on the ropes. That's not a smart thing to do nor is it Tank setting him up. Pitbull did not lose to Tank . Maybe Tanks hand was the result of his poor performance. I doubt it given his equally if not more poor performances against lesser opponents in Rolly and arguably Santa Cruz. Rolly won 3 rounds minimum. You just can't score objectively.
If you try hard enough, you can nit pick anyone's resume to death in that division (except Loma's). Size is almost always the decisive factor in fights when traversing to a new weight class, I'm someone that continually harps that weight classes matter and that good big will always beat good little/ great big beats great little etc.........not sure why you'd think I'd think otherwise. Bigger than Leo? Absolutely, but Leo is still a champion and wasn't doing anything dozens before him successfully did, conquer a bigger foe. Bigger than pitbull? No. Just stop it. Tank started at FW, Pitbull I'm pretty certain is a career LW He lost a competitive fight to Tank that he had an opportunity to capitalize on, and he couldn't. I don't know what else to say I defy you to go find any, any fight where you can point out that I didn't score a fight objectively. Any. I hate Golovkin with a passion and scored both fights against Canelo for him. Even said he was borderline robbed twice. One thing I won't do is allow my bias for whether I like a fighter or not cloud how I score. Find any fight.
It was a competitive fight on the cards, but of course the fight wasn't even halfway finished so it's not like Romero was in control and Tank landed some hail mary shot. I did think Tank was bothered by Rolly's power on a couple of occasions, hence the reason Tank fought the way he did. The slow pace and vulnerability of each fighter created some tension that I enjoyed -- it felt like a HW bout. As usual on this forum, people abandon logic in order to cram the facts into their worldview.
Rolly was more active but its hard to know how many of his shots actually landed. Afaik most hit the arm or just missed. I wouldn't blame Tank from not wanting to be hit by the bigger fighter
Don't mean squat. Most boxers supported Broner over Pac. Even Shawn "I'm Always Team Pac" Porter was on camera screaming and rooting for Broner during the fight. That's why it's dumb AF and nonsensical whenever black fighters claim other black fighters don't support each other. It's patently false.
