I'm guilty of sleeping on him too. However, I did watch one of his fights about a month ago and I was very impressed with what thine eyes saw. It was against an Asian dude with a big head. He (the Asian dude) a teak-tough little b*gger and he took a real pasting but he kept coming back when it appeared the end was near. He inevitably wilted eventually though but it was entertaining and I was impressed with both of them.
I'm trying to work out if it was Fuentes or Yaegashi. Fuentes has a big head but didn't really put up much of a fight, Yaegashi put up a great effort before being stopped.
You said it bro. FOOTWORKatsch His footwork is absolutely sensational. I started watching him a year ago and was blown away by his skills especially his footwork. I seen him fight some asian guy and with his footwork alone he was able to make openings to hit this guy. it was the most incredible thing ive ever seen. How the f#%k do you get a guy to open up with just your feet?:huh
It was Yaegasi. Huge heart and a solid set of whiskers that guys got. Like I said, he kept coming back when it looked like the end was nigh. [YT]6nTiT4tNRXc[/YT]
Some in the Japanese media said that was one of the best fights they'd ever seen. Great heart from Yaegashi who showed why he's such a fan fave.
Yeah I certainly picked a good one (by pure chance). That dude was a tough as nails and as game as they come.
I have Gonzalaz as P4P #2 or 3 right now, very skilled young fighter already accomplished in 3 division, unbeaten with a nice record to back it up. He def needs more hype but the really light divisions don't get that much coverage.
I've got him as P4P #2 right not. Very well rounded, great technical skills, can counter-punch, lovely footwork and ko power. He's building a pretty impressive resume too. I can't think of a single reason not to like him.
