I like Ronald, when commentates it's clear he loves boxing and is very knowledgeable. in my opinion at 6"9 and with that boxing brain the mighty McIntosh is the only man who could chop down both K brothers...
I like him as a commentator and as a person. Seems down to earth and knowledgeable. Hope he gets the chance to do more big fights
I like what he does, but the BBC employ someone even better, Costello. Will he only ever do radio commentary?
I'd prefer it if he actually commentated on the fight he was watching rather than sprawling off on some tangent he's researched or been given by the pr department. Today was a good example, during the American super heavy fight he was going off on one as to the programme the the american boxer was involved in that got him into boxing. Fair enough it's a decent tit bit, but he went on for nearly a minute of a round about where it was, who built it, how big it was, who funded it etc etc. He tends to give out overly detailed facts too much imo. He's a decent fella, and he'll get better but cut that **** out Ron, it;s annoying.
I agree, but I really don't think TV commentators need to be telling us most of what's going on in the ring though. I mean, we're watching it! I like hearing Rambling Ron. Listening him right now doing the Joshua fight.
really annoying today, telling a backstory abiut a boxer that takes a minute to tell and not actually commentating
He did used to be a basketball player I am pretty sure, seen him on channel 5 commentating and presenting nba.
