I think Im gonna lean towards Guzman on this round by a tad. Possibly for Soto or even an even round 9-2 Guzman.
Round 11, Guzman standing in front of Soto with his hands down, baiting...the man can duck and weave with the best of them...Guzman lands two hard shots to the kidneys, first significant lands of rounds about halfway in...ref breaks action with some inaudible warning to Guzman, something about holding Soto's arm I think...good body combination by Soto...tries to bring it upstairs and is blocked...Guzman lands a 1-1-2 clean but without much on it...keeps out of Soto's range for last twenty seconds. 108-101 Guzman.
Every close round you have given to Guzman. Its obvious your a fan of his because there have been some close close rounds.
Looks to me that Soto is just waiting for Guzman to land a good punch so he could have a good reason to lie down and be counted out.
Round 12 They hug and tap hands , Soto trys to swing a BIG LEFT after they tap and Guzman just dodges it. Guzman wok up and looks mad, Guzman looking alive, and moving. Guzman just swinging, landing some shots, Nothing on them, trading, in teh ring. Guzman showboating , LOL makes Soto miss punch after punch. Soto pressing him and partially blocked . Guzman lands smal lcombos, Soto blocks most of it. Soto swings at the end of the round. I give it to Soto. 9-3 Guzman. I lost a little respect for Soto for trying to trick Guzman (although Guzman dodged it) its still disrespectful.
Round 12 - Guzman walks confidently around ring, measuring Soto, coming in with occasional jab to the body...crowd boos lack of action halfway through round...4 jabs to the mouth do not deter Soto from coming after Guzman's body, protected by tight elbows...Guzman makes Soto miss while landing slapping counters...Soto flurries on Guzman in corner last twenty seconds, lands a few but takes some shots to the head. 118-110 Guzman.
This was a good fight. A boxer vs a puncher. And the boxer made the puncher look foolish. Guzman does not have power, I cant believe people expect Guzman to stand there for 3 minutes and trade. Guzman traded in the fight quite a bit. He boxed when he needed to and moved when he needed too.
