Cant believe some people think this performance bolstered there claims over Margarito being caught using illegal/cement/plaster/blocks in his fights not only with Mosley but ALSO Cotto etc.

The guy has been out of the ring for 16 months.
He dropped Garcia, who may i say has a decent chin at light middle, in the !st Round!!!!
He constantly jarred Garcia with his left uppercut, something that looks as lethal as it ever has.

My summary is not, oh he had to stick and move without his plaster.
He boxed to a plan set by his new trainer. He could have finished Garcia earlier, but instead decided to show his skills and get some rounds under his belt, something anyone would do after such a long layoff.

Margo would say yes to the payday and to prove himself. No doubt about it.

It was odd seeing Margarito as a Boxer and not as a brawler.

I think Garcia might try to change his style. This might be reminiscent of MAB's
metamorphosis after the Jr. Jones fight.

Woah woah woah. What the hell are you basing "he could have finished Garcia earlier" on? You admitted in the same post that Garcia has quite a chin on him. He wasn't going anywhere. He also had heavy hands, and Margarito felt it. Unfortunately Garcia's very, very slow on the delivery. Margarito recognized that. It wasn't so much milking it to get rounds in, as not wanting to get KTFO in his own backyard in his own comeback, and switching by necessity to more of a boxing style.

Neither do I. It's probably just a case of Grandpa Garcia trying to tweak his style a little bit and he had the right opponent in front of him to try some new things.

Margarito hardly threw his bread-n-butter puch(to the liver). Hope he combines some of what he showed tonight with his old style.
