Roy sucks. Now that Larry is gone, watching HBO is going to be painstaking

What? You mean the same Roy Jones Jr aimlessly cheer leading for guys like Broner, Berto, and comparing a guy like Thomas Dulorme to Marvin Hagler.

My favorite was when Roy was praising a guy's skills in the ring and said something like "He's being defensively careful, using his jab, and practicing his Christian faith."

I do think Kellerman at times get's undeserved hate but I can tolerate him, Roy and Mallignagi would be interesting.

Roy is good, Paulie is good and i liked bhop on the british broadcast of cotto-trout, hopkins called it quite well for a first timer.

Wouldn't mind hearing tysons thoughts on a fight to, but it depends if he can pull off live.

Roy is good, he just needs to stop using the phrases "Glass chin" or "susceptible chin" when talking about other fighters, makes himself look like a toolbag.

my favorite HBO cast was Merchant,Lampley and Emanuel/Jones. I don't mind Lampley when just announcing the fight i don't pay much attention to it, Merchant used to annoy me but by the end I grew to like him because I learned to not take him seriously and just laugh at the dumb/weird crap he says. Emanuel/Jones always seem to provide that bit of inside knowledge that the other commentators don't have.

Slightly off topic but I loved it when Foreman put Lampley in his place over those Allah remarks when Barrera beat the **** out of Naz

Commentators like Kellerman are too full of themselves, in the sense that, at times, they come off as like they actually have first hand knowledge about fighting.

Example: During the Thurman-Quintana fight, Kellerman noted how effective Thurman was going to the body of Quintana, so he needed to keep going to the body, (simple as that, right, Max?).

Jones commented that Quintana's movement might be preventing Thurman from going to Quintana's body more often.

In the post fight interview, Kellerman asked Thurman why he didn't keep going to the body and Thurman said Quintana was "slippery as a snake", confirming Jones expert analysis.

I don't really like him as a commentator. I prefer Merchant and Lampley to him
