#1- He isn't likely to get brain damage because he has a Glass Jaw. The worst damage occurs from sustained beatings and Roy's Fragile Glass Mandible doesn't generally hold up past a few solid punches.

#2- He is not Boxing because he loves it. He is doing so because he blew most of his money on his failed rap venture and he is completely broke. Fact.

    1.Ok i'll give you that
2.He started his rap career in 2002 which is more than 10 years after he started boxing and do you have any proof at all that he was broke after his rap career

No one but he and his financial advisers know what his true net worth is and that approximate figure is the worth of all of his assets. He would have to liquidate everything he has to have anything near $45 million, so it means **** all, exactly what it meant when fanboys blathered on about how Tyson and Holyfield were rolling in money. In terms of disposable income, he has none.

There's such a lot of hate on these forums. Indeed roy jones jr should have fought certain people, but as P4P the best they should have been willing to take 60/40 and willing to fight in American. Having said that, we can talk benn eubank julian jackson etc... fact remains... head to head, prime for prime... no one beats him in history... what he would do to a prime marvin hagler is an example of his greatness, He had no vulnerabilities to take about and his resistance was shot only after goin up to heavy weight. there's a video showing the shots he took through out his careers, even took some big ones from ruiz, he hits much harder than anyone who actually stopped him.

stop the hate... take some time to appreciate

read joe calzaghe's autobiography the last couple of days and found some interesting quotes from him on roy jones

" I was one of his biggest fans but you have to question why his performance levels completely dipped from the moment it transpired a few years ago that he had failed a drugs test in a fight in Indiana against another american, Richard Hall. All of a sudden, he fell from the premiership to league 2, from being absolutely peerless, to distinctly average "

" If I had of fought Jones at his peak and got beaten, I would feel swindled today, knowing that he had taken steroids. Its cheating, theres no other word for it, and I don't know how it managed to be swept under the carpet for a number of years and he went totally unpunished "

" If steroids can make athletes run faster, they can surely help a boxer to hit harder and to hit faster and to hit quicker and to hit for longer and this will help him to inflict more punishment, which I think is repulsive"

#1 - There is no such thing as P4P. It is made-up, a myth. It is not like Glass Jaw Roy was carrying around a belt that said "P4P Champion" on it because there is no such thing, therefore that doesn't give him any advantage in negotiations. Also, Roy made ridiculous demands, think back to when he demanded 80/20 from Nunn. That is a joke.

#2 - You do not know a goddamn thing about what he would have done head-to-head with top fighters because he fought exactly two great fighters, one completely weight drained, and refused to engage either one. Those fights were absolute **** because there was more circling and posturing than fighting.

And to say "what he would have done to Marvin Hagler is an example of greatness"?:rofl:patsch Holy ****ing ****, this is the stupidest statement I have ever heard in my entire life. There are a lot of ball sucking fanboys on this forum, but this is the first time that I have heard one use a HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION as "proof" of a fighter's greatness. You take the "coulda, woulda, shoulda" bull**** that Roy's fans live off of to an entirely new level.

#3 - No vulnerabilities? The man had no Chin. None. Zilch. The reason it wasn't completely exposed sooner was the fact that he DID NOT FIGHT ANYONE. Do you understand this? His record is absolute dog**** and anyone with a shred of common sense can see that the reason he didn't fight the guys that can punch was the fact that he knew they had a great chance of obliterating his Glass Jaw. For ****'s sake, Feather Fisted Lou Del Valle put him down with a glancing blow, any of the guys that I have mentioned could have possibly flatlined him.

#4 - His Glass Jaw had nothing to do with him moving up to HW. He weighed in at 193 for Ruiz. He weighed in on fight night for his LHW fights at 186. That means he added and dropped exactly 7 pounds of non-water weight to get to HW and back down to LHW. That is not the body-crippling "25 pounds of solid muscle" that his deluded **** swallowers cling to in the hopes of explaining away his atrocious Chin.

Your hero is a ****ing joke and a disgrace to Boxing and all you have to refute the evidence that has been listed above is that you think, emphasis heavily on "think", that he could have beaten anyone. I have news for you. If we had a time machine that could transport Prime Hagler to this day and age I would bet my life's savings that Hagler would march through Roid's best potshots, walk him down, and brutally KO him on the ropes. Hagler had a Chin, Roid didn't. End of story, deal with it nuthugger.:deal:hi:
