I feel Groves had a better jab than Watson and did really well v Froch, but can I quote what you said about Benn? I feel that was a good observation.
Mark all due respect to tell someone that you know more about boxing then say these 3 British greats are not that Good is a tad ironic
They never proved they were great, Watson lost to Eubank and McCallum, Mike was more great than all three of them.
I don’t think being not as great as McCallum says anything negative about those 3. Mike is one of the most under appreciated fighters of all time.
As loadedglove said above, the only one he would have a chance with is Benn And that's only due to Benn loving a tear up Junior would have been boxed soundly by Watson and actually hurt as he was quite heavy handed
Hardly a new thing. Jones has been training fighters since his last few years of still actively fighting. Ikram Kerwat, Jean Pascal, several others in his neck of the woods down in FL. Now, if by pedigree you mean has Roy guided anyone to a championship? I mean, no...but then, neither have 99% of trainers. But he is experienced at it by this point. Also it does kind of jive, IMO - the style of CEJ has always been a bit athleticism-forward, like RJJ's.
Fair points I did mean championships and as you say not everyones going to guide a boxer to a World title What is Junior aiming for then is kinda where im intrigued
Probably seeking that simpatico chemistry and stylistically/philosophy-aligned fit, which is so hard to find in a corner man...and nearly as important as the x-and-o stuff.
