Come on, I don't like that magazine run by a fighter belt anymore than the next man, but they're still not that bad.;)

I doubt you read them in his book but Calzaghe's comments on that are quite tasty. Joe basically questions whether Jones' prime should be thought of in a different light considering the links. To paraphrase, 'Now I look back and wonder if that really was an incredible boxer with great skills or was something fishy all along?'

Mmmm....maybe Joe should do some research before making such accusations. He's just jealous, Roy was a p4p number one fighter, Joe just liked to talk about being one.

This fight is all about money and JC thinks it'll be an easy fight for him. I want to know where all the steriod allegations keep coming from with Jones. i know he tested positive for ripped fuel after the Richard Hall fight but so did Hall. Ripped Fuel is a fat burner that has ephidrene...not an anabolic Steroid.

I just wonder if Roy knows about these comments or not - and Joe's not bright enough to delve into the specifics. If money wasn't their God and they saw looked at each other without seeing $$ and ££, I would be seriously pissed off if I were Roy for a couple of reasons. It would be personal. Could potentially make for an exciting build up even if the fight stinks.

Though it still wouldn't be as good as telling Robin Reid that he was better looking than him.

Slappy Joe is not fit to carry Jones jock strap....I really wish they would've fought when Jones was at 168 in the 90's. We wouldn't even be talking about Joe if that was the case.

Exactly. It just makes people feel better to think someone couldn't be that good naturally. Especially Joe who wasted his career defending the WBO.

Joe is a bit slimey, I think even you'll agree with that. To be honest I doubt Joe wrote a lot of that book. He doesn't have the charisma to string a few entertaining sentences together let alone write a book. I doubt Jones would be that bothered, he's probably read a lot of stuff like that about him.

Slow down Danny Boy, I apologized ahead for missing that one. I'm not the biggest Roy fan so I tend to overlook articles on him, I admit it's still no excuse considering it's dealing with the best sport in the planet.

No i'm not drugging it up, and yes I do believe that version of Roy has enough to beat any version of Joe. I'm not hating on Cal, I wasn't that all impressed with Joe's performance against a shot B-Hop, though I gave him the win.

Just my opinion, sorry. :thumbsup I'm sure im not the only one who feels the same.

Don't know about slimey but he is incredibly self centred.

Hey don't apologise, I hope you're right, I just cant see how anyone who saw the Jones/Trinidad fight could think Roy stands a chance against Joe now.

Self centered is fine just as long as you don't pretend to be something else, which he does.

From Joe's book; commenting on Jones...

“Was it age or coincidence? All of a sudden he fell from the Premier League to League Two, from being absolutely peerless to distinctly average.”

It really disgusts me to read stuff like that. How that WBO boy thinks he can judge someone like Roy is beyond me.

    Well played.

I've been at Lords all day and feel a bit dizzy and sunburnt. I couldn't be arsed to find the words.
