"They not judging top 10 by skill anymore. When it comes to skill, I'm
still skilled and probably the best out there. You don't see none of
them young fighters, nor the old fighters in this game, throwing six or
seven hooks at a time. You do not see this dawg. This don't happen in boxing. We don't see that no more.

That's why boxing is dying. Ain't nobody interested...Bernard didn't look impressive against nobody. Let's just face the music. That's why people don't like boxing because he don't look impressive against nobody.

Pacquiao looked impressive against Ricky Hatton. Very impressive. Pacquiao looks impressive when he knocks people out...Bernard Hopkins has never been impressive. Never! You ain't never see him knock a guy out cold or take a decent fighter and knock him down good with one punch because he don't do that. He's gotta wear them down because Bernard's so boring".

Bernard may not be the most exciting fighter out there, but he is dominant and been dominant should rank you highly in boxing, regardless of whether you are flashy or not. I mean, just look at the way he dominated Pavlik. Before the fight, there were a lot of people who thought Pavlik was going to knock him out!

B-Hop was impressive against Trinidad and also with Pavlik considering his age

I'd say his complete dismantling of Pavlik was impressive. Especially when you consider he's an old man. His destruction of prime Trinidad was far more impressive than Jones' sparring session with shot Trinidad. His record against Tarver is far more impressive than Jones' too. You've also never seen Bernard Hopkins knocked out cold... two times consecutively.

I agree with Roy, good boxing skills like Bernard has are not impressive at all. Who cares if you can make any other boxer of any style look bad with your good skills? It's just boring. Not impressive or important.

What's important is being able to dance around the ring like a ****** making faces against a walking corpse of a fighter. That's ****in' awesome.

Roy starts off by saying he's still the best out there. You have to take everything he says now with a grain of salt, especially if it's something about a rival like Hopkins.

And for the record, Bernard has knocked people out cold in his career and he has knocked decent fighters down with one punch.

    Close thread, really.

You can't call what Roy had skill. I wouldnt dare teach a fighter to fight like him. He was a phenom, physically talented and got away with a ton of technical horrible things.

Watch what Tarver did to him to second he slowed down. Hey Roy, slower fighters should keep there right hands up.

you guys are actually taking what this guy says seriously. this is the same man who claimed he lost to tarver in their rubbermatch on purpose so his father wouldnt get any credit if he'd won. :nut

they both fought walking corpses in their last fights.

what's sad is anyone with a brain saw Jones JR-Bhop 2 coming a long time ago. Just pad your record here and there and drum up interest.
