Oh really? A heavyweight boxer would knock out a middleweight boxer? What a revelation! your insight is truly remarkable. Who invited you? Go home.

roy jones, purely because he's a middleweight. and ro all u saying ali would ko him, thats not the question u'd have to be stupid to not think that ali would beat roy just from size alone

p4p Jones was faster in leaning and punching. I'd love to see them showboating and getting on each other's nerves though.

Would p4p speed give Ali a handicap? Since he is so much larger than Roy, would it be fair to say Ali was faster p4p but Jones faster in real time?

Manny would surely suggest "You can fight on a catchweight!". It would be funny to see them offer their head as a target at the same time and end up head butting each other....errr you know what i mean...bleh...

Ali was tagged and put down by fighters who were nothing specail.

Jones was hardly ever tagged. You have a better argument that Ali is closer in handspeed to Jones than in reflex's.

Jones had clearly the best reflex's of any boxer I have ever seen.

Ali was clearly the greater fighter of the two.

hmm says... true that. You can make an argument that Roy had both, but I was leaning more towards a prime Ali when he showed good footwork and upper movement in dodging before he returned from exile and started showing signs of depreciation. Good take though. :good

    :D

When i read the thread, i knew, you would post something stupid like that.

You´re obsessed with your hate for Roy. Off course a prime Jones was faster than Ali. A middleweight generally has better speed than a heavy.

Roy Jones, Ali wasn't all that fast, he was just very smooth with his punches. Hard to explain.

Though I don't like Calzaghe you have to give him props for atleast beating Hopkins and Jones. How many people can say they've done that?

Ali WAS very fast. I don't see how anyone can deny that -- he had blazing speed with those combinations in particular.
