Maybe even top 3. Jones is a guy that really fought too long. Im not sure that in the end it will hurt him all that much. I thought Leonard coming back and fighting Norris and Camacho would hurt him and it didnt.

I think it hurt Jones in the sense that many felt that Jones was unbeatable, had he left after the Ruiz fight he would have retired with those many people still feeling that way.

ATG yes, top 10 hell no!

Jones's win over Ruiz looks great on paper but we all know it was a simple case of cherrypicking on "the reluctant one's" part!

Yeah, but it wasn't like everyone thought Roy was going to win that. That was about a 50/50 fight if I recall correctly.

but yeah, his resume lets him down.

Who cares. There are not 5 guys in the history of the sport who could beat Roy in his prime. And thats all that matters. If Roys name was Salvador julio Chavez he'd be top 5 no doubt.

I would put him on the top 10 talent list, but not accomplishment top 10. I truly do not believe there's ever been anyone at 168 or 160 that could beat a prime RJJ.

That isn't true. He did not have the resume. Virgil Hill and McCallum were good wins but neither were prime. That was 11 years after Virgil won the title at lightheavyweight. And Mike was old when Roy beat him. It is not at all top 5 p4p.. He never was in a brawl which he won.

It did hurt Ray to fight Norris and Camacho.. Had Ray retired after he beat Duran the third time it would have been much better. We all know that Ray was old when he fought those two, but it still hurt his legacy.

There are 4 hall of famers on is resume atleast, and atleast 2 ATG's. He won titles in multiple divisions, and was the first middleweight to win a heavyweight title in like 100 years.

How is that not a great resume? Name your list of 50 fighters with 4 hall of famers and 2 ATG's on his resume.
