Thats the point mister surreal,he fought guys who were lt heavies and not even regarded as atgs yet got knocked out badly by both.....
You see where im going with the logic?
A great lt heavy, bigger, more powerful, with a better jab and more fights at heavy than jones was bobby foster, and ali annihilated him...And foster never got koed by any lt heavy, even when past his prime.

The stepping stone to this thread is Jones vs Patterson....see how that discussion goes and then you could consider bringing up this discussion.

Ali by KO, 10 times out of 10.

Ali is one of the best 3 HWs ever, RJJ isn't even a Heavyweight...
The Ali who lost to Frazier was still a fantastic fighter. Now I think RJJ was a great fighter too, but simply not a HW, he can get away by beating a second-tier beltholder like Ruiz but certainly not against a really good HW, let alone Ali...

The poster who brough up patterson is correct. Patterson had faster hands at heavy than jones at heavy, much more power, was bigger and had a truckload of experience against big guys yet he got beat twice by ali with no big alarms. (i think maybe both times inside schedule?)

    Ali TKO/KO/ UD 12/15 to 0.

Roy is a great fighter. The most talented fighter of all time physically in my opinion. But he was never a heavyweight and to put him in against the best heavyweight ever at any point where he is near his prime is suicide.
