Chuck norris is so bad that..... Chuck norris is not afraid of the dark..the dark is afraid of Chuck Norris! Chuck norris IS WHAT WILLIS WAS TALKING ABOUT! There is not life on mars because Chuck Norris has been there!
A kick in the face will always work. It's the stances of karate that don't necessarily work in a street fight. When the karate practitioner takes the stances too seriously is when they fail. Karate teaches straight punches. And straight punches always work . in any type of fight. And like I said . A kick in the mouth definitely works. ALL forms of martial arts work. But only the practical moves will work in in a real fight. Karate punches and kicks can work in a fight. But that spinning knife hand ;to the throat , probably wont work --------------------- *Hey topic creator!!!! Next time you should show your friend Paquaio footage . Ans see what he says about him .
Actually Bruce Lee studied just about any martial arts he could get his hands on, and discarded what he thought was useless to his fighting style, in karate's case it was the rigidity of it as another poster mentioned above. With that said, a big part of the concept of Jeet-Kun-Do was to take what was useful from different fighting styles and apply it to one's own. To the TS, that is a really good observation and I had never though of it until you brought it up but now that you have I'll have to start rewatching some of his fights.
Very good post. I will just had that Karaté stance is not even near Roy's stance. Probably more like Taekwondo stance but definitely not Karaté. In the end, that was just ROY's stance. That's it.
To be honest, I would rarther be very advanced in karate than in boxing. I think it does work in real life, it teaches you to adapt to a certain fight style. While if you are fully able in boxing, in a real fight if you get knocked down to the floor you are ****ed.
Yeah I remember watching bruce lee vs chuck norris scene from whatever movie that was and couldnt help but notice that Bruce Lee was mimicing Ali's footwork when he was dancing around in that scene. It was pretty cool. I know its a movie and choreographed and all that so please no gay comments. I just think its cool that he took aspects from Ali's style and used that in his movies.
I think it has more to do if you are a true fighter at heart. You can be a boxer and get taken down . And do just as well on the ground as on your feet. Learning karate doesnt mean you can fight. But if you can fight, and give your self a structure like karate to give you form than you can be a badass under that discipline. You can go to the gym and practice boxing tecniques , but that doesnt really make you a good boxer, even if you mastered those tecniques.
