Roy's last fight at 160 against Tate, was only about 6 months before he fought Toney in 1994. GG's a great fighter, but he's easy to hit and marks up. I don't see how he'd have beaten Roy.
He would have been more cautious, but that would have given Roy an advantage. Regarding a field day for Brook, he was obviously referring to how easy Brook got through. I agree. Roy would have found him easily.
Roy was at his best when he fought Tate at 25. Serious efforts were made to fight Dariusz. I love GG, but he's easy to hit and he marks up. Roy would have found him easily.
As a fan of GGG, the only question I have here is whether or not Glolovkin makes it to the final bell. I think he probably does. But he isn't winning.
Golovkin might be my favorite active guy To beat Jones he would have to cut off the ring have success with the jab and hit the body I don't think Roy gives him enough opportunities. Probably a very good fight that Jones clearly wins on points
GGG would be the best fighter Jones fought at 160 (Hop didn't hit his stride till later). For sure though, Jones would win. Probably UD12, 8-4. Perhaps a late stoppage but I'll still go with decision.
Roy would've destroyed GGG. He was too abnormally fast. The fight would've got stopped due to G's busted up face by the 5th round. Roy also never tired. GGG as seen in even the Monroe fight has to take rounds off. Roy was indeed a real "phenom" unlike a social media hype job like Golovkin.
That 1-2 in the video may be as fast as any human has ever been. Can see Jones NOT hitting GGG a lot. But I can also see GGG catching him. I think Roy is the favorite, but GGG gets him occasionally.
I think GGG is great but Roy at 160 wasnt simply outstanding in terms of movement and reflexes, he also hit like a truck
