no they aren't as good as de la hoya (not that he's that great), but it's sad he's considered so great, because really he hasn't beat anybody of any historical importance and one of the biggest names on his resume beat him!!! floyd mayweather would destroy whitaker... i'm saying it wouldn't even be close, so to exclude mayweather from your list is pretty ridiculous.
It looks like you just took a list of about 250 great fighters, drew out 25 names, and threw them around in any order.
De La Hoya beat: Vargas, Trinidad, Mayorga, arguably Mosley in the 2nd bout, Quartey(close call), Chavez(old), Camacho, and guys like Hernandez, Ruelas, etc. That is a very good resume. The fact that you don't have a single clue what you're talking about or an ounce of knowledge about boxing doesn't change that. Floyd struggled badly with Castillo, Chavez's protege, and arguably lost according to many, yet he'd destroy Whitaker, who schooled Chavez, a fighter two levels ahead of Castillo. Something there doesn't equate. Are you done making an absolute idiot out of yourself? If you're not going to commit suicide, at least sign out and never come back.:hi:
just one thing dlh didnt beat trinidad(dont wana argue)lol, this guy is obviously a idiot because any real fight fan would never make a comment on how crap sweet pea was
I'm sorry. Ray didnt make it and I know this offends many people but think how many others didnt make it including Armstrong, Cerdan, and Lamotta. Leonard ranks as one of my most talented fighters ever and make a good case for him being the fighter of the 80's, a memorable decade.
I thought it was an obvious robbery regarding DLH and Tito. Then again I believe I scored the Quartey fight slightly for Quartey. A lot of close calls on DLH's record.
Good points. You might also add a prime Montel Griffin who beat James Toney also. And the more i think about it, the better the wins over Hopkins and Toney looks. It would've been great had they hooked up around 2002 again to settle it once and for all because that's when Hopkins was at his best.
I just now realized Armstrong didn't make it. You never had much credibility with your crazy ways, but any you were ever hoping to gain is destroyed, never to show it's face again. Do you honestly even have any semblance of a case for that one?
