These type of fights are sadder than the chopper scene near the end of Platoon where William Dafoe gets mown down by commies!

    Round 6

Jones Jr. is turning like a dial, observing Watkins as he sashays in hemispheres around him, looking for angles to attack from. Watkins smells blood and is stalking Jones Jr. like prey, occasionally jumping in with stiff jabs dropped like a drawbridge from a turtle shell or flurrying with power. Jones Jr. seems frail and his legs too wooden to elude Watkins, simply electing to stand his ground and block while bending at the waist. Jones Jr. suddenly gets in an ELECTRIC LEFT CHECK HOOK DASHING IN AND THEN BREAKING TO HIS RIGHT AS WATKINS IS ABOUT TO FLURRY IN FROM THE ROPES! WATKINS CRUMPLES!

    TKO6!!

Maybe Roy just wanted to get some rounds in.

Jones was actually losing the round prior to landing that goodnight kiss.

Watkins had all the momentum and was chipping Roy's points lead away. Shame he didn't know to always be wary of that patented, oft-imitated gazelle hook of Jones' as his bailout weapon.

    He...must've forgot? :hey

Based on how Jones looked tonight he might be in trouble against Danny Santiago.

Eh...it was like the pink copy of a carbonless tricolor paper tracing of prime Roy.

The movement was the same, executed from muscle-memory, but that level of quickness wouldn't look as pretty or get the same result versus a cruiser with even halfway decent reflexes or ring IQ (or basic knowledge of the fact that it was JONES' SIGNATURE FREAKING MOVE! Damn, Watkins, did you not grow up watching the guy or what?? This was your chance at getting your name in the history books, and you had won the previous five minutes or so!!! :patsch)

Yeah, losing 1 of 5 completed against Watkins bodes poorly. Santiago might win 2⁄5 or even 3⁄5! I'd hate to see the Jones Jr. vs. Huck plan come to fruition now, even with the recent pitfall Huck suffered he's still head & shoulders above this level...and is more than heavy-handed enough to really damage Roy's health given how much success Watkins had with even more rudimentary pressure than Huck brings.
