Joke fight. What will be interesting however, will be the reaction to this fight from all the Calzaghe haters who were very vocal after Calzaghe fought and beat both RJJ and Hopkins. According to them, RJJ was shot and Hopkins was old then. Watch how they hype this fight now :hey
It just goes to show the loss to Roy all those years ago really sits on Bhops mind. He see's this as an easy way for redemption but alas it will never count as a get square as Roy is completely shot. I'd honestly laugh if Roy somehow managed to box a decision against him logic says it won't happen. Looks like Danny V Tarver will be on.
thought this might happen.still i think Danny would lose to Hopkins.Tarver is an easier fight IMO.lets hope that fight gets made.
I hope rjj wins but I really respect hopkins wanting to avenge the loss after all this time. For danny green the result doesnt matter, a rjj win validates his ko win even more and a hopkins win in any other round than the first leaves green and hopkins negotiations open.
I would have respected Hopkins if he hadn't waited until Roy was a shadow of his former self with zero punch resistance to rematch him, but then again Hopkins always did price himself out of fights he knew he would lose, he done the same to a few blokes along the way and now he thinks beating this version of RJJ gets his mojo back LMFAO, i don't know who is more deluded Him or his ball swingers , Hopkins is playing his fanboys for fools , enjoy the fight fools .
Funny how Roy losing to Green was supposed to have put an end to this fight going ahead. The conspiracy theorists who claimed Roy v Green was fixed were met with " And as if Roy would do that and stuff up a big pay day against Hopkins". Apparently he didn't stuff anything up. LOL.
