I think unless Roy is really compromised by making 170, that he'll beat the **** out of Tito. RJJ may not be the same as he was before, but at least he's been somewhat active, and beating top 20 or so light heavyweights. Tito hasn't fought since May 2005, and looked horrendous. Tito has always shown vulnerability to a straight right hand. Roy still has a blazing fast straight right hand. And Roy is a bigger, harder-hitting guy than the guys Tito is used to facing RJJ KO 6 Trinidad
RJJ still has a trump card that will let him best Tito. Speed. He may not be as brilliant as he was 10 years ago, but he's still fast enough to frustrate Tito. I want Tito to win, but I feel RJJ may have too much for him skillwise.
Will be surprised if he KOs Trinidad to be honest but will love it. However, aren't you worried about Roy's stamina?, I do believe that Tito will put a lot of pressure and that worries me since I know that Roy will run out of gas and will be very careful every round and not throw much to avoid running out of gas late, something he did against Tarver in the third fight but still ran out of gas late.
Who said Trinidad can even last 12 rounds, Roy certainly doesnt have to run cause Tito cant hurt him. And if anyone runs outta gas it would be Tito cause he hasnt even fought 1 round in the ring at 170lbs so if he goes in there running after Roy hes the one thats gonna be tired.
Tito can come forward and apply pressure, but he's used to doing it against smaller (and slower handed) guys. For all of Roy's declining speed and reflexes, he still has extremely quick hands. Tito hasn't won a fight in 3 years, when was the last time he really applied good pressure? Against 154 lb. Vargas, 7 years ago? Cherifi? Joppy and Mayorga came at Tito (and it backfired). And I also question Tito's desire. I think the loss to Hopkins took a lot of the hunger out of Trinidad. That's why he's spent the great part of ages 29-34 in retirement.
Honestly I dont think Roy will be as dominant as many people think. He is getting on and I dont think the weight loss will be benificial for him. That being said he will have to have a really off night and Tito would have to turn back the clock to take this. Roy wont let him in for the most part.
