We could get Danny Garcia vs Robert. Guerrero soon : The always colorful Ruben Guerrero, father and trainer of former champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero, wants to get his son in the ring with Danny Garcia (28-0, 16KOs), the current WBO/WBA 140-pound champion. Since revealing his intention of moving up to the welterweight division, Garcia's name has been mentioned as a possible opponent for just about everyone at 147-pounds, including both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. "Danny Garcia is the kind of fighter who likes to fight. He always comes to fight and that's the kind of opponents that we like. I give him a lot of credit because he always comes to fight. That's a real fighter right there, because he likes to stand in front and fight," Ruben told **********ne . Rueben on Angel : "Angel is a punk. He was all over my nuts at Robert's fight. Angel ain't sh*t. I'll punk that guy like I did Mayweather. Angel ain't nothing. I already punked him. I would hurt that poor guy. If he's going to face me, he better be ready because I don't tolerate sh*t from anyone. Angel is nothing, I'm a real guy from the street. I'm from a real town where there are nothing but barrios. I grew up tough. He just acts tough, he's just a guy with a big mouth," Ruben said. The war of words between the Dad's would be just as entertaining as the fight !
This would be a very good fight both in and out of the ring. It would be very interesting to see how Danny would deal with Robert's constant pressure. I'd favor Danny to win by the slightest of margins especially since it would more than likely be at 147 lbs. Tough fight for both guys.
I just can't help remembering Angel running for dear life at that sports store in Brooklyn when Zab showed up :rofl
I think Ruben would flog Angel but who cares? Angel never rants on like he can flog anyone - he just says his son can, and given Danny Garcia is undefeated, then Angel has every right to boast. I don't even think Angel would want to get engaged in a war of words, he has no real need to, it's not like Robert Guerrero is a fight Danny Garcia even needs, it would be a step back.
