Rubio is not all that but neither is jr so it should be a fun competitive fight between two C level fighters. Rubio has to KO to win there is no way he gets a decision over jr.

Will be a great fight, both fighters have something to prove and both have show guts and heart. I see Jr winning this one by UD or even latte stoppage. The kid is a tough SOB

Its pretty divided on who esb'ers think will win. This means the matchup is proper and people should stop bitching about Chavez' opposition.

For those picking Rubio, I hope at least you all give Chavez some credit if he wins non-controversially.

Should be a good fight and a measuring stick to see where Chavez is at and has it in him to climb up the ladder even further.

To make it worse, half of the abuse should be aimed at the WBC instead of Jr.

Wishful thinking. You know Arum will not let that happen.

Rubio is the first live opponent Chavez Jr has ever faced. Credit to either guy if they win except in the event of a classic Top Rank Robbery.

I expect Chavez to beat him up and stop him at some point

if he could score a Kofi Jantuah like KO that would be a big statement

Good post. I was unaware of that. The judges are probably questionable too. Rubio will need to stay out of trouble and starch Jr. to win and I'm not sure that he can... The kid will be extremely focused and he'll do everything humanely possible to stay on his feet with so much on the line.

I don't think I'll get abused. They all know I'm a huge fan of JMM. I just happen to not like Jr. or his old man. Nothing wrong with that...

I dont see anything wrong with not liking a fighter JETSKI. There's a few I dont like as well.
.....however I think you crossed the line in your hate when you posted about "learning the ****ing language dopes."

There is'nt anything wrong with either of them making their money in the US. Both are here legally, not illegally.

In the case of Sr. he did learn some english, but never enough to communicate fluenty with it.
Its always hard to learn a new language when you dont practice it.
Sr. has always made his home in Mexico and those in his team have been made primarily of spanish speaking individual, so spanish is always going to be the language spoken, and english seldom practiced.

In Jrs. case you should really take that back.
He's at the Wildcard gym with Freddie Roach, spends alot of time in Los Angeles and thus interacts with english speaking individuals which gives him the opportunity to learn and practice the english language.

Jr. has actually given out interviews in english without the aid of an interpreter.
He's learning the english language because he's in a situation where he can practice it interacting with people in his team that speak more english than they do spanish.

Just wanted you to be aware of that JETSI so that you dont not let your dislike for a particular fighter cross the line to where it sounds like you're being racially insensitive over an individuals capacity to learn the english language.
