I think Valuev has got better since the first fight, especially with his jab.
If he's smart about it he can make this a simple fight for himself. If he gets dragged into Ruiz's gameplan on the other hand, it could be rough.

ruiz will make it ugly. valuev is not skilled or quick enough with his hands or feet to avoid the "hugs". ruiz will score inside and valuev has about as much inside game as wlad.

id pick wlad to ko valuev. peter, povetkin, and iggy outpoint him. gomez, thompson, chambers have a chance as well

The real resson Ruiz is getting the title shot is because he participated in the WBA's Fight Against Drugs Charity card in Venezuelalast month.

This is the WBA's way of rewarding him.

Wow, that is low to put this up, but has Tua ever won a world title? He learned so much from this fight. I personally know John and he is a very good boxer, but he can't box with heavyweights due to this fight your are showing. When he turned pro, I thought he was going to be a LHW not a HW. I was one of the nay sayers as John ever winning a HW title and he sure surprised many. He showed less holding and more fighting with McCline. Actually, McCline did all the holding. Well, anyway, don't watch the fight and you will be a happy camper.

It is a continuing disgrace to the sport of boxing that this talentless cheater continues to get shot after shot, while decent fighters who compete WITHIN the rules, don't get to fight for a title.

Hopefully Valuev will do the sport a service and knock this scourge the F*CK out. :nod

You've got to atleast respect him for trying to fight the best, which is a rare thing amongst heavyweights nowadays.
