Imagine a hybrid fighter: Wilder's punch with Ruiz's chin and skillset and current legs. Still can't think of anything else Wilder offers aside from the big punch.

I like this fight a lot too

This fight makes so much sense which means it almost definitely will not happen.

Wilder's got heart. He also got good stamina.

He's got a nuclear right hand but limited skills.

Fool me once, shame on you...

He didn't fight Fury the third time, not making a peep until the contract was expired.

    He did not fight Martin.

What makes you think he is going to fight Ruiz?

He is not going to fight the second best opponent of his career now that he is no longer a "champion." Don't be ridiculous.

Ruiz is only talked up by the Euro Brit AJ nut huggers.....

That guy is the definition of a flash in the pan gate keeper.........going life and death with the tame Samoan and making the Bodybuildeer spit his mouth piece out and quit....

Ruis is 6 foot max.....has zero head movement.....relies on his chin almost exclusively for defense....feet stuck in cement......is a sharp but not hard puncher but can fire combos up close......Ruiz cannot close the distance and relies that you come to him......Wilder will keep it long and lower the boom while landing flush right hands..........this aint no tricky southpaw cuban skilled Ortiz, Ruiz is a statue following you around to get close plus he leaves his chin out to air after his little flurrishes........open target practice fir Wilder.

BTW, Ruiz let the Bodybuilder off the hook after the first knock downs because he was afraid to get clipped again and played it safe so that means his confidence in his chin is lower that the Brit fan girls on here are...

Anyway, IMO, Ruiz is tailor made for Wilder to look good.....cannot miss if you tried.

What kind of idiot Joshua fanboys think Ruiz is on a higher level than Fury. Ruiz was just a bad style match up for Aj. But besides that Ruiz is just decent world class fighter. He lost to Parker and would loose to anybody who knows how to jab and move. Pulev could probably jab his face off like he did Chisora.

Honestly I actually think Wilder has a chance against Ruiz despite what most people think. Everyone forgets the man is a towering 6 foot 7. yes he cant box for **** and his footwork sucks but to level it out Ruiz's head movement isn't good and he's 6 foot or 6'1. He will easily walk Wilder down but he might catch a few supersonic right hands. And if Aj could put Ruiz down Wilder can too. But still Ruiz is a monster in the pocket with blitzing speed and if he hurts Wilder it's not going to end well. Especially because Wilder doesn't have the best chin and he cant fight going backwards

I favor Ruiz. But it's a good fight

Really interesting fight if it comes off. I can see either fighter winning.

Yes, limited skills is an unterstatenent. Can't diss his heart or stamina, but Ruiz has a solid chin. A focused Ruiz should easily win this fight perhaps even by stoppage depending on what the Fury beating took out of Wilder. A fantastic fight up there with any of the most appealing that could be made right now at heavyweight. Assuming Fury beats AJ, I'd like the winner of Ruiz/Wilder against AJ. No interest in Ruiz at all if he comes in the mishape he did for Joshua 2, however

Don't underestimate Ruiz. He's a good boxer and just think how ahead and well Ortiz was doing before being banjoed.

Terrible style fight for Ruiz. Wilder by KO.

Makes a lot of sense. They each should be confident of a win (Wilder trusting his lateral movement and Ruiz trusting his power, chin and mauling) and it'll be big money.
