Well, in retrospect, considering how much Frazier hated Ali and the eventual fame and fortune that Ali received (at the expense of Frazier) the ultimate WIN would be denying Ali even the chance of success.

 

What the ****? This is boxing. The ultimate win would be to fight the guy and beat him.

Better to lose trying to prove you're the better man than to do nothing.

 

Berndt Boente clearly stated "perfect idea" when ****** suggested Vitali fighting the winner of Haye v Chisora...now it's real and the "idea" is in front of his face...Vitali will run from it. How can Klitschko fanboys defend this complete ***** of a move? Embarassing

I might start an alternative to boxing where you have a **** ton of fighters, and the aim of the game is to avoid fighting each other and to deprive your opponent of a pay day and fame.

I can really see it catching on.

 

Not a huge haye fan he's had 3 maybe 4 **** fights the rest have been exciting. His chin is nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. As a professional he's never been knocked out cold. Has a good amateur backgorund and would have a better chance of landing his shots against vitali the he did against wlad. i still think vitali would outpoint him but it would be an interesting fight.

 

Boente suggesting Vitali fight the winner of Haye-Chisora isn't solid grounds for the fight to happen, and he probably shouldn't have made that comment, but if I were Haye I'd be using that to try to force a fight with Vitali too.

What Haye should really be doing now is chasing the (soon to be vacant) WBC, (paper) WBA belts or fighting his way into a mandatory spot for the IBF/WBO belts.

 

When you think about it Shaun,the comparisons aren't that outlandish.
Compared to Lewis,Vittles was of a pretty similar standing as Charr was to Vittles.

And now the double standards I frequently warned of will begin,and the irony is,if all those bullshitters hadn't kept crying about Lewis,Vittles would retire with the respect and best wishes of most of us...

Vitali fans are a joke for not wanting their hero to fight an actual test. Hang your heads in shame!

Funny as well, Klitschko fans calling Chisora "a bum" and devaluing Hayes win over him...the same Chisora who your guy struggled with and wouldn't of stopped him if they were still fighting now? The same Chisora, who i saw Klitschko fans entertaining the idea of Wladimir fighting him after Vitali already beat him?

 

Who wants to see a fighter they like fighting on too long and losing because of age? He was faded in 2008, and he's even more faded now in 2012. How long until he's completely shot? Vitali's power is long gone. That's been plain to see for years now. Maybe since the Johnson fight, and definitely since the Briggs fight. Beating Adamek wouldn't have been a bad time to stop.

Then Chisora showed Vitali's reflexes weren't the same as they were. Whether injured or not, Chisora is a limited slugger and tagged VK too many times despite it being a fairly easy win. If he wasn't injured, he shouldn't have been getting hit by Chisora. If we was, it could be a sign his body isn't coping any more. So Vitali took an easy fight with Charr as a farewell fight and probably to pass the time until his election campaign. He could have fought Haye, but Haye is a fairly dangerous opponent and from a business sense not worth the risk. 'Vittle' could have made easy money with a lesser fighter, keep his legacy intact and end on a high- so he did that, and hopefully now he's retired for good

Britta- ahem, British boxing fans- should just be grateful there's only one Klitschko left now. There'll be plenty of British saviours for Wlad to pad his record with, and maybe another British fighter will become 'heavyweight champion of the world' in the meantime , but Vitali at 41 years of age is done. Let go.
