jogging on a slow pace is for the purpose of reducing the lactate in your body which increases while you do anaerob training. it also fills your body with oxygen, this is why pro go up in the mountains running.

when you train hard, the body produces lactate quickly. so, next to the daily training routine; jogging should be done at least every 2nd day.

best pace is,when you still can talk to your buddy while running. if not, then your pace is too high

    lol, yea.

I can run 100y dash in 9.7 seconds, and a mile in well under 7 minutes. I think I'm good in the running dept. Thanks.

All I said was that running for 45 minutes for a amateur fight, or a 4 round pro fight is over kill. Unless thats all you do is run, and pitty pat sparring. skipping a lot of the harder workouts. Sound about right?

I bet none of you compete on a REGULAR basis. And if you do, you probably have losing records.

Because if you did, you would be so overly trained you couldn't win ****. You leave the fight in the ring, not in the gym.

You probably dont even spar that much. And if you do, you pitty pat. Probably at 30-40% lol

Most people get on here and say they run 5-6 miles daily. Spar 3-4 times per week. HARD sparring I remind you, for about 5-6 rounds at a time (3 minute rounds). For an AMEATUR FIGHT, hahah. You arent fooling anybody. Maybe complete beginners that get on here, and you want to look like you know what you are talking about, but in reality, you dont.

Yea, everybody is a professional boxer here.

    amirite?

    Cheers.

I never said I was out there sprinting for an hour.
Simmer down. I train how I train. You do what works for you.

young hypnotiq, the old school bare knuckle brawlers and very early gloved fighters used long walks rather than running for conditioning, but obviously you know better being the worlds best unarmed combat man in history......

did you know old school bare knuckle boxers also made themselves bleed because they thought it would make them healthy?
