I was going to make the trip from Manchester and get the last coach home but I'm not sure I'll bother now - no point paying for a ticket and only seeing half a show. I know Tris Dixon wrote in Boxing News recently criticising promoters for having shows ending so late and this is a perfect example.
Didn't realise Dmitry Chudinov was on the card. To be fair i think it could be to keep certain sets of fans away from each other...they have a combination of Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester fans before 10.30pm and probably think they had to get them on early so they could travel home and the 'All London' fighters on at the end assuming those fans wouldn't have as far to travel home. I agree though, should have started everything earlier but there's a couple of football matches on in London involving West ham and Chelsea vs Fulham so probably something to do with the Police advising them on times too.
Maybe you could get the 1am Megabus from London(Victoria coach station)? Get's you into Manchester at 7am so you can have a sleep on bus the way home.
Hope to see Mitchell Smith win his first title also, Ian Weaver has been calling him out already so can see them meeting sometime in the net year if Mitchell has that belt. Weavers been doing alot of sparring at the wildcard
Hopefully theres a way round that, would be a good fight between two decent prospects. Weaver was saying he reckons hes going to get a British license some point in the near future.
its mad because hes got one in ireland, three states in the US and spain i believe, but our board wont touch him.
It's not mad, it highlights the fact we have a governing body for whom fighter safety is paramount and outweighs greed. That doesn't mean they are right in this case but they do have the best of intentions.
