Just because Rhodes isn't famous doesn't mean he's irrelevant. He's a decent fighter, rated in the top ten and is on a good streak. He's more deserving than M Hatton, or Nate Campbell.

Can't think of anyone more deserving aof the payday than Ryan. Yeah he's likely to get beat but he'd make it more competitive than any of the other goons that are being mentioned

Sonia from eastenders is better looking than Bella Emberg. But if you were the world's best/second best looking male model you wouldn't want to **** either of them. Ryan's a good guy and ten times the fighter matt hatton is and with light middle division in a bit of flux could get himself a world title of some sort but has nothing to offer mayweather.

I'm not sure Dave's that smart going into details of his Warren/hayemaker relationships in the statement. Only makes him look weak in my opinion.

What!? Rhodes don't deserve a shot at Mayweather :huh I'm not trying dismiss Rhodes' ability but just because there's a rumour going around that Floyd wants to fight in the UK doesn't mean we should accept him fighting any decent Brit there is. I'll call him out and get KO'd in 1 if we want to see someone way below Floyd's level fight him. I'll love the payday too.

Floyd wants to fight in the UK when Sky Sports ask him the question. Its like when Pele goes to different countries before a world cup, he always tips the country he's currently in to win it to keep the press onside.

Yep, but I still don't understand why people seem to be happy enough for Floyd to fight Rhodes :huh Pacquiao to Malignaggi some get pissed off. Paulie down to M Hatton some get properly angry. M Hatton across to Ryan Rhodes and some seem OK with it. Weird :hey

Your correct that Nate is not a suitable opo for floyd but he has been a double world champ and been in with world class opo. Where does that make Rhodes in the grand scheme of things? dreamworld.

He was double world titlist TWO divisions below Mayweather. Rhodes, at the very least, is a genuine top ten LMW who is at his natural weight. If you're going to make a pointless fight, at least make it against a guy who has physical attributes that might challenge you. Rhodes is fast, strong, can fight as a southpaw and can move pretty well - he's put together a good string of wins, including winning an eliminator for the WBC title. That's a shitload more derserving that Nate Campbell right now.

I think so too, Mayweather won't want any part of a UK fighter.

Well considering Mayweather likes fighting well above welterweight for his fights and Hatton isn't even in the top 5 in the british rankings anyway.... it makes more sense. Although I wich he would stop ducking Pacquiao.

To be honest mate, i don't see a problem. But you have your opinion.

Ryan is co-managed by Frank Warren, who is a promoter, i work with Hayemaker who are promoters also, so my point is the fight could be made a number of ways. There is more chance of Ryan landing a big fight if we work together rather than separate.
I'm not bothered about the politics of stuff in this case as Rhodes has to get the best fights and deals available for him.
He's worked hard to get back up there and can't afford any previous differences to get in the way of whats best for him.

Rhodes deserves credit for what he has done with his career, but you really need to keep the momentum going. How about WBA champ Yuri Foreman if his Cotto fight falls through? What exactly is happening with the WBC at the moment, is Ryan likely to get a shot within the next year?
Ryan needs to keep going, a decent paying Euro defence, not too risky would be a good ticking over fight for him.
