The award is for 2009 so hayes cruiser acheivements are not anything to do with it.

Khan deserves to be in top ten if Haye does,

    Button ftw

Lennox Lewis and Joe Calzaghe the most recent ones to win it, I think Mcguigan won it in the 80's and Henry Cooper won it a couple of times.

neither of them deserve it, if haye beats both klitchkos and becomes heavyweight champion of the world than he'll deserve it. Khan hasn't done enough yet. I mean look at joe calzaghes career lol

Khan got sparked out in a round, fought a comeback fight, took a risk with Barerra when people were unsure how much he has left, moved up in weight and fought atleast a fringe world/high european level fighter who had a title and won it well, then blasted out his mandatory in a round, all this in 15 months would give it to Khan over Haye id say, its just that Haye has only fought 2 fights in big gaps in that time while Khans been Ko'd then, no matter what people say, he came back with alot of character beating barrera, kotelnik, then defending his title. I reckon Khan because he came back well but props to Haye too (Y).

In terms of pure sports reasons by the way ^ the rest im not sure, Khans been involved in alot of the criticism and contraversial sides of the game which may give Haye a chance in those terms, but in terms of what they've done through this time in sports id say Khan
