The biggest one of these of late has to be Golovkin vs Canelo: the euphoria of a brilliant contest which was then immediately soured by the judges.
I'm a fan of the 2 fighters but not my fav. I'm not sad or down for this one, but a bit angry because I put a small dough on GGG by decision. I was robbed lol
Jones-Tarver II VitKlit-Lewis Pac-Marquez IV Kovalev-Ward I Those are the ones that stick out at the moment.
Being a boxing fan is no different to being a football fan When Nigel Benn lost to Sugar boy malinga I was more P%%%d off than Nigel I remember my mate Ian is a boxing fan and we were on the starting line at the North Devon half marathon talking about it the next morning ! I had my own challenge that morning but the fight the night before was taking over my mind An odd one this one Antonio Barrera V Ritchie Wenton It was obvious Wenton had the biggest job of his life here and was stopped by his own corner at the end of the third My reason for this Ritchie lived in the cottage opposite to me here in Cullompton Devon while he was training and held the British titles . As well as being a great fighter He is very nice chap and was a really nice neighbour and was well liked by everybody living here I really wanted him to beat Barrea ! I was more P%%%d off than Ritchie at the end of the fight
Why would you watch that twice? I write about this sport and there are a few fights I refuse to ever review. Ali vs Holmes, B-hop vs Joe Smith, Lewis vs Tyson. I'm not putting myself through those again.
Barrera losing to under dog Pacquiao had me under for 3 days. Lol ODLH getting the L in the Mosley rematch had me hating boxing for a minute. Mares getting KO by Gonzalez got me feeling down a little.
Ali/Holmes .. end of an era, a sad one at that. Bruno/Tyson 1 .. for being the first pro to wobble Tyson and show he was perfectly human Watson/Eubank 2.. Eubank given a boxing lesson until that devastating late punch landed. Very sad. Morrison/Mercer.. mainly the way Morrison started that fight before he was brutally tagged and ko'd. Vitali/Lewis .. still the most talked about hw fight this century. Wlad/Joshua.. still irks me that he lost that and will do so for a long time.
It was sad when Kovalev was cheated out of his belts that he earned, then in a rematch Kovalev got nothing for fight while SOB got it all, SOB landed low blows to the testicles all night, but esp. the last three, three low blows then SOB's corrupt referee called it a knockout when he should have given Kovalev 5 minutes rest and taken points away from SOB! I wasn't really sad after that, more angry and frustrated than anything. And I was rooting for Ward in that fight and thought he won the first fight and was comfortably winning this fight, but even I was left feeling cheated after that low blow. Total bull**** stoppage no doubt.
Walters-Donaire Lee-Chavez Jr. Collazo-Vasquez Jr. Collazo-Ortiz Matthysse-Molina Jr. Figueroa-Guerrero
Man I didn't like the way Gonzalez turned down some local town peasants. They were praising him asking him for any type of help advice. Gonzalez turned them down seemed a lil fake/wack stopped liking him after that.
