And you'e still whining, that the fight was stopped to early, because
    Ali was never floored.

I'm not whining! I actually think it could've been stopped earlier, Ali was extremely sluggish, defenseless & offering no offense. :verysad

I thought i'd share this Sports Illustrated cover from before the fight:

The ones I had in mind have already been stated, but what about Sugar Ray Robinson's last couple of fights? He fought in the middle of Mexico against unrecognizable blokes for next to nothing. This is the highest regarded fighter of all time and to see him end up in that situation is a tragedy in itself.

Casius Clay standing over a fallen Archie Moore, with his hands raised.
Total disrespect for an elder statesman and ambassador of the sport.

A class fighter would have just walked over to his neutral corner, and let the
    referee count him out.

Larry Holmes not trying to hurt Muhammad Ali, with Larry pleading to
Ali's corner to stop the fight.

And Ali's cornermen looking confused as what to do.

Tommy Hearns was constantly haunted by his loss to Leonard and all the people he let down and he put his heart and soul into the rematch to gain absolution only to see his just redemption stolen by the judges. Hearns is still haunted by his first loss and it still breaks my heart that he didn't get the win he deserved to help put those demons to rest.

Seeing Joe Louis, my boyhood idol, knocked out by Rocky Marciano, looking lifeless, sprawled on the ring apron only a few feet from me.

not nearly the same john, but i flew the wife to new york with me (before she was the wife) to see roy jones' last hurrah against joe calzaghe

i sat and watched...eyes wide and filled with regret, as he was bludgeoned and humiliated by calzaghe. worse still, he was taunted and teased while 10 000 Welshman laughed at the corpse of my hero

I like it how Ali walks over to Tyson in his corner before the fight, & whispers something in his ear along the lines of; "Go get him for me".
Just like he did for Tyson-Berbick too.

    Matthew Saad Muhammad,

Very sad, as he hit Dwight Muhammad Qaqwi with his best shot, and Qawi just
laughed at him, them pummeled him.

    Michael Dokes versus Razor Ruddock.
    I thought Michael was killed.
