Penek -fighter of the year taking on Sam-A(last month) and now Saenchai. Two of the greatest current Thai boxers back to back. Thats like tim Bradley taking on Pac on Saturday and then in July fighting Mayweather(I wish we lived in that alternate dimension:-(). but the card also includes top fighters like Nong-o, singdam, and sagetdao. Youngsters like Petpanomrung and superlek competing as well. maybe part of the next generation of greats. unless you live in bangkok, your gonna have to wait a day or two to see these fights, as they are released on the web. Thanks Yaca, looks like a quality nights boxing. Penek may have his work cut out with the weight jump against Saenchai, But maybe Penek has momentum and a bit of youth we'll see but eitherway it's a helluva an interesting fight! I like like the Pac- Bradley- Mayweather analogy, very true. When your only getting paid around 100,000 baht $4,000 US per fight not Pac's $20million you gotta syay busy. Thai fighters stay incredible active and there are no soft fights at top level MT on the Thai circuit. I remember a fighter at Songkhran fighting twice over the holiday period of a week.:shock: They also have amazing powers of recovery, interms of brusies damage etc. Anyway, can't wait.
your right Boran. Khem is fighting on the 9th after just fighting on the glory card, and saenchai will be fighting again on the 14th of this month. Got to keep busy.

Well done Yaca.:good Looks like we called it before the fight. Not amazingly surprised, it's kind of similar to the Sam A fight. Sam A smaller and more technical stuggling with Penek's battering ram power, but in this one it's a role reversal with the more technical fighter Saenchai having both the size and experience advantage. As the report said Penek's time will come, it's a steep and painful learning curve in fight city BKK! Can't wait to see it and the rest of the card. Doesn't look like a night of upsets. (Ihaven't had time to search but will do.)

Thanks Yaca. Saenchai used his hands very well. Faster, with smart moves, punching the body and then the head. Penek was good with the knees and the clinches is some rare moments....but Saenchai won pretty clearly as far as I saw.....
Well, since Penek beat Sam A....and now Saenchai beat Penek very clearly, is pretty safe to say that Saenchai is without a doubt the best Muay Thai fighter in the world nowadays......and one of the best of all time for sure.
Absolutely. you know, it really didnt look like saenchai had a size advantage in this one. If anything it was penek that looked bigger dispite that he had to move up in weight for this fight.
At last had some time to myself to watch this fight! :happy I enjoyed it but Saenchai totaly bossed it. Penek was game, but out sized and experienced. Size did count here, Saenchai could just walk through all Penek's hard shots without to much of a worry particularly early on. He knew Penek was going to come forward and try to batter with legs, but against a bigger more experinced battle harded guy like Saenchai, he's just gonna pick you off and counter and that's what happened. When you're behind in Thai MT you really have to chase tit for tat style but that just makes it easier for a guy like Saenchai to get you off balance and pick. He was sinking in powerful low kicks and punches early on that took it's toll on Penek weight wise he felt em. I used to place him lower on the atg list below guys like namsaknoi who beat him,but now I think he deserves to be placed up their at the top with the likes of Samart, Apidej, Put, and dieselnoi. I think Saenchai fits comfortably amongst them when you look how he tools top fighters. Penek was completely outclassed, saenchai’s movement defense and quick assaults were too much for Penek who is a excellent fighter himself.
