I think Salido hurt Loma early with the body shots. You know, when you get hit by a guy that's 10 pounds heavier than you, it can hurt you and put more you on the defensive than you had planned on being.
The difference between you and rational people is that you fail to take all facts into consideration. You fail to acknowledge that Salido came in overweight, and so had a stamina advantage and a power advantage, among other advantages. If it makes you feel like a tough dude to say that Loma should have been tougher in the fight, go ahead. But the cards were stacked against him so high that it was almost impossible to win. The fact he made it razor-close is a testament to how much talen he really has.
That's his fuckin problem then. Nobody expected him to fight a champ in his second fight and ultimately he bit off more than he could chew. How the FUCK is that anybody's fault but his?
Great argument! Just to prove what a ****** you are: You quoted my entire post but didn't say one word to confute the content. That's how stupid people operate.
You have a point. But also, you can't forget he did that expecting a fair match. This is supposed to be a sport, not a street fight. There are rules in place
It wasn't a robbery on any level. Salido nailed him with several shots that were on the belt line. Whenever they got in a clinch, Salido targeted his pelvic region and nailed him with legal body shots. Maybe 2 or 3 of those shots would be considered "low" but if the referee doesn't warn the fighter, I don't see any reason why Salido has to change his style. He outworked and outhustled Vasyl, plain and simple. Amateur fighting is nothing like professional fighting and Lomachenko learned that first hand. it was quite ambitious of him to take such an exponential step-up in competition, but I had a feeling Salido would beat him based off him being a professional boxer for over 15 years and seeing pretty much every style there is to see in the lower weights. I mean this is the guy that beat up on a prime Juan Manuel Lopez twice. I guess this is the reason why highly decorated amateurs usually don't fight for a title without at least 10-15 professional fights under their belt. I had it 7-4-1 for Orlando, but 7-5 seems like a justified scorecard as well.
Guys, it's not so much about that Loma got schooled by Salido in the ring, but rather about his team getting schooled in the worst way by the Salido-team. That amateurs didn't implement a proper weight-penalty in the contract and didn't make their homework on the referee, the advice between rounds was terrible. Some naive, full of themselves russian amateurs who thought they could compete in the pro game, nothing else. I hope Loma loses these guys and gets some professionalism in his corner, because he actually has the potential to be great, but not with this collection of amateurs.
What are you talking about exactly? A street fight? How was last nights bout a street fight? It was a tough, gritty fight and the better man won, plain and simple. If you think THAT was a dirty fight, than you probably haven't seen too many boxing matches in your lifetime.
Loma's arrogance cost him. I'm sure everyone saw the pre fight piece where he said he was ****y about his skill. Lol, if Salido made weight or not is irrelevant. Lomanchenko and his sheer unmitigated arrogance chose to fight anyway and got mauled around the ring like a ****ing rag doll. Those are facts. He didn't throw many punches, held excessively and looked like a deer in headlights when Salido was working him over. The fanboys had him pegged as the second coming of Christ with all his amateur accolades blah, blah, blah. Now they are all doing damage control making excuse for him looking like dog**** and saying how he will learn from it and all that horse****. He was expected to win and dominate but he stunk up the joint quite frankly. I'm glad he lost and this stunt blew up in Arum's face.
i hear a lot of crying from loma fans. so what his opponent outweighed him it happens all the time!!! martinez beat jr, mayweather beat alvarez, duran beat barkley!!!!!! great fighters find a way to win!! all the complaining about the low blows, oh well loma was using the ukrainian clinch all night!!! his management sucks for throwing him to the wolves in his second fight and his corner sucks for not complaining about the low blows and telling their fighter to work harder!!! loma sucks for not being able to overcome the odds like a true champion and beat a b level fighter.
