    Umhhh..

Why shouldn't they low-ball? Boxing is a business.. That's how negotiations work. You start from a position & come to a compromise.. Do you want them to high ball them? Naive.

Hold him back from a great resume? He's 9 fights & a two weight champion with Walters, Sosa, Martinez, GRJ & Salido on it. Umhh.. Not so sure.

Fair points though & i do not discredit Salido here. I don't think he is now in a position to boss terms or over inflate himself that is all. Salido was KD'd by a complete unknown last time out. You could argue he can play off the Loma victory still here though but on balance i think he should be locked up & gang raped.

That's how crooked business works. Ethical busines is where you make a fair offer to your partner based on what you both bring to the table combining the value of your products and labor. No one should get over on the other in a mutually beneficial relationship. That's basic ethics.

I guess I have higher standards for how Loma's career should pan out.
It's getting too stubborn when the fight has stalled a few times. Loma has been wasting his prime on a Sosa, and Salido is falling further from prime - the value of the win matters to fans who want Loma to go down as one of the greatest and have a wholesome resume from start to finish.

The Corrales unification fight didn't happen either because he was completely lowballed, I can't even imagine what they offered him if they offered Salido $300k originally for the rematch. Sosa was given $90-200k (they haven't released official info) whilst Loma made $1m.

He certainly is in the position to demand more or else he's just going to enjoy the fact that he had a good resume before the Loma fight. Salido is a thorn that Loma should pull out. We all think Loma will win but Lomachenko can look TBE against non-stylistic threats like all of his opposition in the pros, but a part of what makes you the TBE is how you fare against stylistic threats.

For those of you expressing dissatisfaction with Loma's apparent offer here. Do any of you even know what it was? You seem so aggrieved for Salido yet it may have been quite reasonable.. So all this is may be a bit overblown anyway.

So the win is going to be devalued anyway. You just admitted it. See? That's my point..

    Did they offer 300k?

I am not overly bothered on it happening or not though i get your points. Just making a case that things have now changed from 2014..

Salido earned $250,000 for the first fight btw. More than Loma got. Yes he got the SD win.. So he has a negotiating hand here but it would be interesting to know what he is asking for considering that was 2014 & he's probably declined quite a bit since. Whereas Lomachenko's star has risen..

Did they offer 300k? Low offer but that's how negotiations work. It's just business..
