Liston wasn't floored by Marshall when Marshall broke Liston's jaw.
Did Marchall knock him down in the next fight?

    Just askin'. I don't know.

Sonny would win the exchanges at any range and completely bully Langford. It could be over in 1-2 rounds or maybe he beats him up with a jab before putting him away.

I think Marty did, briefly.I'm going to double check on it.

I don't see a way for Langford to win

I'm no expert on Langford , but from what I've read he did not handle good jabbers very well, even if Sam can match Sonny's power, that does not bode well for him against the considerably bigger Liston. I therefore take Liston to bust him up in around 8rds . It might resemble the Walker Schmeling fight imo, but with Sam having a few good moments, and forcing Sonny to regroup at times.

Langford was seldom stopped but he hit he floor quite a bit, around 30 times .McVey had him down from left hooks in Aussie, I reckon Liston hit as hard as McVey with his hook.

That we are seriously considering this collossal size mismatch speaks volumes for the calibre and status of Langford .

ps I enjoyed your top 100 very much.
