Rewatch Foreman Qwai ... Qwai was 5'6" while Foreman was over 6'3" ... Qwai hit him time and again with his overhand right .. the difference was Qwai was no where near the puncher Langford was .. I am not picking him over Holyfield who had an amazing chin and heart but without steroids at cruiserweight and with Evander fighting dumb whenever hit by brawling no one knows ...

Please remember that Langford also lost to Wills about 14 times if you consider newspaper decisions...

Total horsesh*t interpretation. Foreman-Qawi was a systematic beatdown where George quickly realized Qawi couldn't hurt him and imposed his strength to wear him down. It was as unambiguous a systematic beatdown as been filmed. If you are watching this fight and seeing Qawi gaining any advantage in momentum or direction of the contest, time to switch to tennis.

Wasn't Qawi who gave Holyfield the live of his life?

Yes I did notice that but not before you quote my post. Also it’s Holyfield, not Holyfeild :)

Anyway I would still take the quality of opponents in Holyfield’s resume over that of Langford’s and while I don’t doubt that Langford has some quality fighters amongst his, it doesn’t really stack up to your point that it’s proves that Langford was infinitely more proven than Holyfield.

Admittedly I may be a bit biased since I’ve been fortunate enough to watch all those Holyfield fights against those opponents either live or on high quality tape while my exposure to those fighters you’ve named on Langford’s resume is limited to old average to poor quality black and white film and the views of boxing writers and fans of those early boxing eras.

I am aware I spell it wrong, in fact it's annoying because my autocorrect immediately changes it to Holyfeild over Holyfield, then I have to go back and I just can never be bothered. I love HolyfIEld he was my second favourite HW of the 90s after Lewis, but we'll have to disagree on the résumé thing,

Also another factor of Langford is he didn't move up from CW to HW
He moved up from LW to HW (then equivalent of CW) and was back to back KOing HoFers. I think we have to agree to disagree here

Watched it when it happened and plenty of times since. Always the same story. A big guy bouncing around a spirited but undergunned small guy until he wilts entirely. About as much suspense as watching paint dry.

    Big mouth still unfooted.

Wow, Old George looks in pretty good shape here. Seems to be a lot slimmer than when he challenged Holyfield a couple of years later.

Just watched Holyfield v Cooper ,great entertaining slugfest, but not a smart fight for Evander to have waged.
