I'm inclined to give Sam a shot here. He had true one shot knockout power, a great chin and Rocky was there to be hit. What do you say, classic?

I would make Langford a small favourite.

    I'd favour langford

Someone mentioned this earlier on a different thread so I thought I'd address it that I feel langford to be a harder hitter then the rock

I would guess he was at least on a par for power.

I think it would be a toss up fight.

Langford is too head on to beat Marciano

I agree with the poster who picked Langford, and for the same reason. Marciano too easy to hit for a guy with Langford's power.

I like Langford. Faster. Better defensively. Tough fight.

Toss up . Rocky was a little bigger naturally, maybe it would be a key factor when both fighters are in the same class

Marciano by knockout. With power and strength equal, Marciano had the better chin, and Langford stood flat footed right in front of him. Marciano would find him without any issues.

Archie Moore said no man past present or future could slug it out with Marciano and make it out alive

No evidence SAMs best punch was harder than marcianos overhand right pre 1954.

    I would call power equal

    That's your opinion

Most people think langford hits harder

Apart from that he is much more accomplished in all the other areas of boxing

Apart from a weight advantage I don't see what rocky has over langford

I suppose it could be argued that Langford ko'd bigger , class men?
I don't think there would be much of a weight disparity ,5/7lbs at most.
