    Do you have a link to show where Ward / Golovkin was discussed? I was not sure that there was any serious discussion.
    I wonder if Ward/Golovkin would have happened had both been at SMW together? Golovkin it appears seems to have trouble getting opponents at MW and Ward didnt face Bute, Dirrell or Degale. I wonder where even the fight would take place

    To answer your question; the ease with which he dispatches mostly decent opposition, his amateur pedigree and the eye test.

    That said, I'm probably alot closer to your position than you think. Just not quite as extreme. Fonfara? Come on...

    Imo, GGG is a potential ATG that is increasingly unlikely to fulfill said potential as he seems to be following the risk averse example set for him by Floyd-after-Oscar.

    That doesn't mean his opposition have been "bums". It just means that he took no real risks and now he's gotta' move up 2 weight classes instead of one to find those risks. Now how likely is that?

    And the years are passing...

    Highly unlikely to become an ATG without facing at least a couple A-level opponents, if not an ATG, or two.
    Golovkin achieving ATG status is as unlikely as Vlad achieving the same.

    of course there wasnt any serious discussion....because k2 shut it down....

    i can show you links where ward says he contacted k2 and got a reply saying "no thanks".....and links where loeffler confirms they had no interest in the fight and that ward did indeed contact them....i dont need to post links where weights or contracts are discussed...because k2 shot it down before it could even get to that point......everyone knows ward contacted k2 and they said "no thanks"

    are you that desperate to defend golovkin here that you are asking for actual contract talk links? are you really going there? is that your argument? ....when one side contacts the other and that side says "no thanks we arent interested" its kind of hard to get anything going dont you think? god you guys are desperate and dumb

    ward has made big fights...he made the kova fight without a hitch...very easily....what big fight has golovkin ever made?

    floyd has done enough......what has ggg done? nothing...except beat up c level mws and a welterweight....despite being a career mw.....

    floyds a retired fighters..proven ATG....golovkin is some guy who cant make big fights, ducked ward, and yet his trainer is claiming he beats anyone two divisions north...and here you are making excuses for sanchez....

    The question that no ggg fanboy is willing to answer. They only think in terms of zero sum, fantasies of being a somebody in their pathetic lives. I'd be absolutely and literally shocked if ggg makes a big fight.

    its always someone elses fault.......when past fighters couldnt get big fights they made sacrifices and took risks...golovkin and his fans seem to think they are oscar, floyd or manny status from beating david lemieux and dominic wade or something

    the bumdog billionaire scoffs at 10 million and then the other day is quoted as saying "its not about the money" ...lol.....hey man...its cool...i understand in negotiation you never take the first offer...just dont be suprised when golden boys next offer is less...lol
