Good post. A bit like refereeing in football I guess. Three billion men in the world and only Collina can do it properly. I would have a go at doing it - do a bit of Boxreccing and you have all the information you need, rather than the clipboard he got his son/daughter to steal from school.
To say the least. It's not just a case of doing a **** job, they also look ****. How can they present a boxing show when they don't even look presentable. Bad MCs has irked me for a long time. Promoters like Hennessey and Warren should find 1 or 2 amazing MCs and stick with them. Pay them very well so they can live off of it like Buffer and Lennon. What Buffer and Lennon do is good but its not rocket science.
Which was the worst - the one for the Hennessy show on ITV or Saturday's? They need to develop their own personalities rather than trying to impersonate somebody else. Alistair McGowan may be funny but not everyone else has his gifts. The snooker and darts ones are usually decent, so poach one of those.
Can't stand michael pass myself "sanctioned by the breddish bawksing bawd of contryoll" makes me cringe every time.
The Haye fight announcer was slightly better than the one who done the Rhodes fight. Let's not lump them together.
I don't like Pass, but at least he sort of builds a bit of an atmosphere - the puddings we have been subjected to lately couldn't make an atmosphere in their own garage never mind an arena.
If you use Michael Buffer or Jimmy Lemmon jr as the yard stick then most Mc's not gonna be good enough..... I think the problem is that Mc's nowadays especially the younger ones try to model themselves on Buffer or Lemmon jr instead of developing a style an presence of their own If I had my way though Patrick Stewart would be ring announcer for all title fights in britain:deal
The problem is they all talk like ****ing pussies. The regular straight working class boxing fan can not identify with these "men" We need somebody macho. He does not have to be exactly like Buffer, he can have his own character and accent, but that is what he should aspire to.
after the sheffield show, people on here were saying how great he was. personally i thought he was spot on. and really who gives a ****
tbh i'm disgusted with these shite mc's in britain atm. ''are you ready'' wtf was that on saturday night. the worst imo is that mark burdiss he should get back to acting the guys **** poor. logans not much better.
