I'm not sold on Alvarez at the moment but I must say that the kid is a class act.

You may not be insinuating this, but in your previous statement it seemed that you were insinuating that Alvarez didn't take the money because he's doesn't seem Mexican, as if Mexican fighters in general will take the money and people of other countries wouldn't. There are class acts and trash in every country.

Mexican is nationality/not a race or ethnicity. Mexico is is made up of primarily mestizo people of spanish and indignenous background, but can vary with many other subgroups. This is no different than the US. Alvarez nationality is Mexican, but ethnically he has a mixed background which is hard to decipher in the Mexican community. His brothers have darker skin and hair, but his parents may have European descendents.
