    Left hook on the body by Alvarez, while Thompson leans over to his left and digs in his own. Thompson is landing right hand leads and continuing to reel his neck back off the Alvarez single & double jab and counter with body shot and short overhands.

    Thompson just can't get the final shot in when he has Alvarez hurt. He has slowed the pace in the last few rounds

    Look at the size of the guy sitting right in the centre of the ring at ringside. You'd raging if you were sat behind him. That's restricted view seating!

    Thompson is throwing big right hands up top, setting up with the slightly inclined jab out from his throat, reaching for the face of Alvarez. Counter jabs by Alvarez while circling, Thompson getting caught flush between the eyes but pushing in past them and banging the sides of Alvarez's body with hooks. Thompson is lunging and missing with jabs and looping rights from a crouch at mid-range.

    10-9 Thompson although the last minute was closed strongly by Alvarez

    If Thompson could find a happy medium between boxing and slugging, and was slightly more dedicated to his conditioning... he'd be quite formidable.
