    Santa Cruz is marching the challenger down, hitting the body repeatedly with both hands, curling in hard shots on either side. Mijares is circling artfully, defending his face and counter-jabbing with his right, scoring a bit, unable to escape Santa Cruz or get his respect to halt the pressure, needing to flee without pause leaving a breadcrumb trail of jabs and still getting touched with long body shots, increasingly so when Santa Cruz gets him briefly into corners and pounds away below his elbows.

    Gomez against Rigo a prime Gomez had legs and moved beautifully in the ring. Back the mid seventies he went to some world Championship games in Cuba representing Puerto Rico and decimated every opponent and knocked out the Cuban Champion.

    a month later Yamil Chade a Cuban Arab with money was looking for Gomez and signed him to a contract and immeadiately sent him to Panama to train in the same Gym as Durans people

    Clinch by Mijares. Accidental headbutt. Bad cut on Santa Cruz. Mijares is hopping left and right, sticking the right jab in. Mijares bows down into Santa Cruz, arms tucked in tight at his sides, dropped a bit to catch or mitigate some of the hard body whacks. Santa Cruz just keeps hurling in the pendulum blows all over Mijares' torso. Mijares backs out and jabs with Santa Cruz tossing long jabs and uppercuts at him.
