The fight was 2 and a half years ago. He had just turned 20.

You think hes still the same fighter?

Lopez was hitting Canelo often, the fact is it wasn't hurting him, his defense really hasn't improved at all

Could that have been called a KD since it looked like the ropes held him up after that one big shot?

And yeah anyone can get rocked. He kept his composure nicely though.

Yeah but sometimes once a fighter realizes that the punches he is getting hit with dont hurt they let the opponent kreep coming at them, making more counter opportunities.

Heh, it would almost benefit a boxer to initially throw all of their power shots at like 75 percent then when he sees the other guy isnt repecting him open up with some full blast shots.

There was more than one shot. He just let Cotto tee off on him. You could see his legs go and he just barely got out of danger to keep himself from going down.

Alvarez is going to be knocked out sooner rather than later. It won't be by Floyd but will be by a real 154 pounder.

He already had 32 pro fights listed. And he was fighting a lightweight. He shouldnt be getting rocked by lightweights handpicked by his handlers.

He still hasn't changed since then. His competition hasn't changed since then.

Look at the boxers he fought already.

:deal He's the ****ing truth! Awesome and brutal combo puncher. I'm not saying he'd beat Floyd right now but it would be a good watch and he's still the real deal

I'm not really a Ward fan. It's funny you should post that. Atleast Ward fights guys his own weight. So he gets a pass on that.

This thread is about Alvarez not Andre Ward.
