Acording to Mexican news Canelo Alverez next fight will be against Miguel Angel Cottos brother "Jose Miguel Cotto 31(23Ko)-1-1" and it will be in the undercard of Mayweather-Mosley fight !!

Pretty interesting fight. Obviously Alvarez should win that fight.

2nd time Alvarez was speculated to fight an established fighter's brother but no confirmation

1st it was Matt Hatton, now Jose Cotto, whose next bobby Pacquiao?

What the f*ck with the Cottos getting their ass kicked lately? Jose Miguel is a solid step-up for Alvarez but lil'Cotto is no welterweight and Canelo is a mean mofo, I see some explosive first rounds, but Alvarez will put a beating on him. Not the best of luck for the Cottos.

I don't think he is over hyped he said he lacks the experience to face Pac and as far as I know he has never so much as mentioned Valero.

That would be a GREAT fight. Jose Cotto is no push over, he has good skills, and is experienced.

I've never seen anyone say Alvarez would beat Pacquiao or Valero. He's a young kid who's learning on the job. I don't think Jose Cotto is really a step up from some of the guys he's been fighting (he was a lightweight until recently and he's never beaten anyone particularly good), but it at least gets him in there with someone people have heard of.

I'd like to see him take an actual step up at some point soon to fighting top 25 guys. Maybe someone like Shamone Alvarez or Delvin Rodriguez.
