Savon took Joshua to school

    that performance last night confirms that he can't turn pro straight after the Olympics, he needs more seasoning

    Ofcourse he can, just needs to be moved a bit slower, he's only been boxing 4 years.

    hence the reason I think he stays amateur because if he goes pro he needs the Deontay Wilder path to success.

    I hope all of the GB and Irish fighters do well and medal, it is ultimately going to benefit us that more stars are coming through and we get a few good ones, with profiles that turn over and can be built up and challenge for major pro titles.

    But. Joshua lost that fight convincingly, he was outclassed and hurt in the 2nd and 3rd. The worst part is that we, as boxing fans, got robbed of seeing Savon again on the biggest stage, as he was a joy to watch - classy fighter, a real natural.
