I dont buy khans lack of a chin is soley blamed on being drained at the lightweight limit.

Hes been hurt by light punchers to head and body on far too many occasions for me to believe that the extra poundage will cure his ability to take a punch.

Based on Malignaggi's record and him being a top 10 maybe even top 5 jr welterweight makes this a good win for Khan should he beat him. But I still want to see him in with a puncher like Madaina or one of the other top guys like Bradley or Alexander.I don't think either will be Khan's next fight but sometime in 2011 these top guys need to start facing each other.

Respect yes but lets not get it twisted. Paulie is limited and cant punch. Nobody should be calling Khan some world beater by beating Paulie.

It would be a very big accomplishment to KO Malignaggi.

It would be a solid win if he wins decisively.

However, the lone negative is that it will not answer any questions about his chinny chin chin.

Of course he should get respect. Paulie is a top 5 lww. Beating him convincingly would be a very solid victory. If Khan wasn't chinny, he would be getting more respect off people, just the fact that his chin is questionable and Paulie is feather fisted makes people reluctant to give him props, it will be his best victory.

I will give him a lot of credit. I'm not sure he'll win. If he does, and against a good version of PM, I'll be very impressed.

I'd recommend an olympic style test.

But for real, they picked Paulie for a reason.

Not just as someone from the UK but as someone who has watched alot of his fights, I can see Khan stopping him within 6 rounds.

Agree, it will be a solid win for him but he probably wont earn a ton of respect until he answers his critics and beats a puncher. Once he takes out MM, TB or Alexander then i think he'll get a ton of well deserved credit.

Anyone who believe Paulie has a chance is an idiot. Paulie lost or got controversial wins against any B+ fighter he has fought. He is a ****ing joke. He got TKO'd by a shot club fighter in Hatton. He was beaten to a pulp by Cotto. He struggled life and death with N'dou. He stole a fight from Ngondjou. He fought closely in every fight with a blown up pillow punching LW, who occassionaly rocked him.

Paulie is a ****ing joke, but for some reason he has a name, and Amir is going to beat this ****ing joke and people are going to act like he did something special, when he beat someone he was supposed to beat.

Khan need to beat either alexander or bradely to be considered at the top of the 140. If he ends up in a close one w/ paulie, forget about him ever reaching to top.

it's a good stepping stone for him, and if he does beat him something serious, then he should get a shot at a top level JWW

Khan all the way, just a matter of how convincingly he does it...
