Eddie Hearn knows from years of experience that there is almost no limit to the gullibility of the Sky viewing audience. The casuals will swallow anything Eddie throws at them. This is a complete dud of a fight. Brook has literally no chance. It's such a shame there is no real competition to the Hearn/sky virtual monopoly on boxing in the uk. Maybe then we would see REAL fights on TV.
I'm not sure how you can't call GGG vs Brook a 'real' fight. It's the biggest fight of the year, worldwide (until Kov vs ward is announced). Then again, if Eubank was in the fight you'd probably moan also and call it uneven. End of the day, even if we disagree with the fight being a decent match on paper, as the OP said you can't doubt Hearn for talking a good game - he really does know how to promote a fight
His a promoter and that's his job. Anyone knocking him for being very good at it needs to get a life.
I can say it isn't a "real" fight ....because it isn't! It's a total mismatch. To me, to be exciting, a fight has to be a genuinely competitive match. This one isn't. It's a sky/Hearn con job. I'm surprised YOU can't see that.
It's free for me here in Australia I am excited for the fight, mismatch or not. I do think it will be entertaining
Arguably the biggest player in the game now is Eddie. We should all be happy that he's got GGG fighing in the UK.
I have to admit, he knows how to make the casuals believe Kell has a real chance here to sell his product. But you'll have to admit, British people are quite susceptible for it when one of their own is in a big sporting event.
Although Brook as only a 25% chance of beating GGG its still a intriguing fight..say what you like about Eddie hes making his fighters **** loads of money as well as himself and the paying public seem happy
Eddie is one hell of a salesman, he could sell sand to the Arabs. He's just so natural at it and captivates his audience. He's the main man in boxing right now.
Oh bore off, hes given a platform to spout 1 way nonsense He reminds me of Jamie Rednapp when he is talking Everyone is a brilliant salesmans when they own a monopoly
Warren had the Sky contract for years, why didn't he create a "monopoly" on it with his stable and be as dominant as Matchroom? He formed his own channel that nobody watches and as such he can't make huge fights over here for the likes of BJS. He's there acting as whatever he's acting as for the Fury rematch and look at the mess going on there with him and that clown Hennessey.
Do you think about what you're going to type before letting your fingers go ? 1) He's given a platform because him and his old fella have proven themselves to be the best in the business, and Sky want to maximise there audience/income. 2) Whats Redknap got to to with anything ? 3) See question 1
