Guys like Louis, Lopez, Arguello, Marquez, and Jofre are examples of complete textbook boxer punchers. All cut from the same cloth. Jofre could do it all.

Bumping this thread to see if there’s any chance people have extra footage. I’m always searching for full fights or extended highlights.

I have only four full fights of his : - Jose Medel I, Fighting Harada I & II, Jose Legra. The Legra one I just uploaded to YouTube. It's from a telecast from Spain as it was never telecast in Brazil. The story on why there's so few Jofre fights I was told is that the TV station in Brazil burned down in the 80's and with all that lost so many fights and so much footage. The Legra telecast was from Spain so you'd perhaps hope maybe in England the Caldwell full fight can be found and same for the Rollo fight in Italy.

Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated. It's been a hard search and have contacted numerous people for the last 15 or 16 years in my search. Even the Brazilian's I know I've had them ask around and see if they can point me in the direction but to no avail. Somewhere out there someone has them though.

 

There's not a lot out there; the Medel fight is the only other one aside from Harada I've seen complete.

As an aside, this threads is a trip down memory lane seeing some great old regular posters. They're missed.
