So I have recently taken an interest in Fury.. I caught a replay here in America of his fight vs Steve Cunningham and am now intrigued by him.. I am a 30 year boxing fan but haven't paid a ton of attention to the Heavyweights much recently since the Klits are so dominant and no one has been there to challenge them..

I turn to the experts here, school me on him.. Give me your thoughts..

Best punch, chin, stamina the whole 9 yards on him, thanks...

    Average

    Haye will KO him

    Stamina is decent
    Hits decent
    Heart is decent
    Skills are average
    Chin isn't great

If the heavyweight division wasn't so weak he wouldn't be where he is at atm.

Funny character though or clown depending on whether you give two shits about him.

Yeah I noticed Cunningham (not a huge puncher) dropped him like a big tree in round 2.. Thanks for your response..

Very hyped, his balance is not great but it is improving, certainly has a fighting heart and at this time has always found a way to win. But needs to improve a great deal, but for a young man has a very good record. I personally feel,he will cause haye problems, needs to get through the first few rounds, use jab and keep a tight defence, but the key is he must fight back. If he makes it through the first half if the fight, believe me he can win, he must fight up close and use size, do not give haye space to work.

    I would say:

    Stamina: Very Good
Heart: Elite (Needs to be nailed to the floor to beat him)
Hits: Good (70% KO) but for his size should be even better
Skills: Better than average (especially for his size)
Chin: better than average (has taken some almighty hits and remained upright) BUT
    Defence: Poor

Definition of hype-job and hometown hero. Nearly blasted out by a light-hitting CW. The hype train will come screaming to a halt, ala David Price, when Haye sends him into oblivion.

David Haye will be doing plently of schooling to Tyson Fury soon.

    Class will begin momentarily.

Pulev is the hype job as we will see this weekend. This is a troll thread to bash Fury.

Heart is "decent"? Oh, hell now. His heart is certainly great, and so is his stamina. The rest, i agree with.

He went from being a complete lump of ugh to a very solid contender. His size normally doesn't lend itself to much stamina or inside fighting ability but Tyson has those things to a surprising degree. He can fight inside and outside. His chin isn't that great but when you're as open as he left himself the couple times he was dropped for the shots he was dropped with, it's not the biggest indictment of your chin but more your defense. WHEN HE WANTS TO his defense is fair.

I think his chin is average. He's not a massive puncher with any punch but he's got decent power on all his shots and quick for a giant. Sometimes fights dumb but exciting and big heart and pride, overall a good contender. Not special or standout so far but should win an award for his improvement, and he's fun. Just a good fighter who enjoys fighting even if he says it's just a job to him. When you see him in the middle of it you know he's liking it. I don't care what he says. My feeling is Haye will get him somewhere around the time he did Chisora in a fun one, if Fury doesn't fight above himself. Haye's a superior athlete, more advanced skill, better pedigree all around.

Actually, they dont like him in his home-town, Manchester, so he's not a home-town hero. I think his hype comes mostly from his tremendous size, and the fact that he comes from a family line of bare-knuckle fighters - aka irish travellers.

Haye will probably beat him, but he will only 'expose' him if he knocks Tyson out in the first few rounds. Haye's a top fighter, so losing to him other than in embarrassing fashion isnt being 'exposed'.

Fury is a very large fighter with an above average skillset. He's a fighter who has tons of potential due to his young age and the versatility he has shown in his fights. He is not married to a particular fighting style at this point - although he may start finding one.

He's a big, strong, young guy who can fight in any style - outfighter, brawler, inside, boxer puncher, etc. He has even showed he can fight southpaw. He has potential to be great, but I think he is at a slight disadvantage right now against Haye.
