campillo won the fight . no judges can take that from him.it is in the pages of history.from now on everyone will talk about the day campillo kicked clouds ass.
True. As Campillo was leaving the arena the fans were eager to shake his hand and take pictures with the guy. Everyone in attendance knew he won the fight.
114-112 Campillo. Acceptable swing would be 113-113(not even acceptable, bit I could have lived with it)to 116-110 Campillo. I can't see any way to have Cloud win and certainly not 8 rounds to 4.
Had a feeling Don King may be the deciding factor in this fight; pleased I bet on the fight going over 8 rounds instead of picking a winner. This kind of thing is hurting boxing more than the Chisora Haye shenanigans in my opinion. On another note it was funny hearing Arreola calling Don King a racist!!! Campillo would probably say he's anti Spanish too!
10-7 Cloud 9-10 Campillo 9-10 Campillo 10-9 Cloud 9-10 Campillo 10-10 draw 9-10 Campillo 9-10 Campillo 9-10 Campillo 9-10 Campillo 9-10 Campillo 9-10 Campillo 111-116 Campillo The 5th round could have gone to Cloud but I thought Campillo rallied and called it even. I also think the 11th and 12th were close but the fact of the matter is that Campillo was still owning him badly just not engaging as much as he did in the rounds before.
This fight was a LOT closer than some suggest. I scored it a draw 1. 10-7 Cloud 2. 9-10 Campillo 3. 9-10 Campillo 4. 10-9 Cloud 5. 9-10 Campillo 6. 10-9 Cloud 7. 9-10 Campillo 8. 9-10 Campillo 9. 9-10 Campillo 10.9-10 Campillo 11. 10-9 Cloud 12. 10-9 Cloud 113-113, Draw
I had it 114-112 for Campillo, which was generous to Cloud if anything. Gave Cloud the 1st, 4th, 6th and 12th round. The judges who scored it for Cloud would be nailed to a tree in any civilized society. As this is boxing however, their scorecards will probably get them better assignments if anything. After all, the guys who robbed Campillo in the second Shumenov fight are still gainfully employed as judges, with Jerry Roth back to rob Kotelnik against Alexander within a few months of Campillo-Shumenov II.
