In boxing I have noticed people especially in Scotland seeing meet further down the line for something meaningful ie the British title but the likely hood is it never happens. These are a list of Scottish title fights that should/ could happen. Anyone else have any others?

Super fly - Jamie Wilson v Scott Allan
Bantam - Scott McCormack v Scott Allan
Feather - Stephen Tiffany v Darren Trainer
Feather- Joe Ham v Michael Roberts Jnr
Superfeather- Ronnie Clark v John Simpson
Lightweight- Charlie Flynn v Ryan Collins/Andrew Mackay
Light Welter- Josh Taylor v Jason Easton
    Jason Easton v Lewis Benson
Welter- Matty McAllister v Mikey Towell
    Stewart Burt v Mikey Towell
    John Thain v Mikey Towell
    Kris Carslaw v Matty McAllister
Light Middle- Kieron Smith v Rhys Pagan (read boxing again)
Middle- Connor Law v Aston Brown
Super Middle - David Brophy v John McCallum
    David Brophy v Craig McEwan
    David Brophy v Tommy Phillibin
Light Heavy - Grant Quigley v Brian Forsyth
Heavyweight- Gary Cornish v Ross Henderson

All fights that would be better than them fighting journeymen. Realistically only a few will fight for a British . Make the domestic scene up here amazing and try get a few on stv and make that Scottish title mean something .

Fights like the above are exactly what is needed!

The two fights mentioned at Feather would be good - would make a good little tournament with Roberts, Tiffney, Trainor and Ham. Think Ham is now looking to do Super-Bantam though. Kris Hughes or Slowey could go in the mix too.

Henderson v Cornish has to happen - the only two in that division up here.

Would be great to see some of those fights mate but there is a few that won't or couldn't happen at the minute anyway.

Joe Ham isn't a Featherweight, spoke with his dad and he see's Joe fighting for titles at Super Bantamweight.

John Simpson, I don't even think he is still fighting tbh but would be nice to see that fight.

Stuart Burt imo is a year to 18 months away from title fights

Mikey Towell imo will be looking forward towards a British or Commonwealth title shot. I'm sure with his style they won't want him having wars at Scottish area level.

Tommy Philbin just like Stuart Burt will need at least another 12-18 months before eh is fighting for Scottish titles.

Don't see Josh Taylor fighting for the Scottish Title, think with his talent etc he will be moved on quickly.

Keiran Smith will need at least another 12-18 months before eh is fighting for Scottish titles.

Rhys Pagan I hope all is well but should maybe stay away from boxing.

I agree that most of those fights would be great for Scottish boxing but we have to look at the other things that matter.

    1. Will managers take the fights
    2. Some of the fighters are just starting out and need experience
    3. Some of the fighters are at the back end of careers and will be looking at fights at a higher level
    4. The money on offer for these fights mean that the fights are harder to make unless someone is willing to step up
    5. Where the fights would take place

Imo Scottish boxing is moving in the right direction and hopefully we can get some of these fights being made as it would definitely help the boxers.

Yeah I'm talking over the next year, just think if they want to appeal to a mass audience need to start making real fights. I love the atmosphere of Aberdeen but imagine it with your fighters in 50-50"s. Everyone should work together in Scotland as the trend is getting them into position for a British then they have not been tested go down on an away show for pretty **** money and under prepared and get over awed . Just for me that my opinion

I simply won't pay £40+ (£55 cheapest for a Morrison show) to watch these boys above box Latvian plumbers over 4-6 rounds.

But I would pay it to watch the kind of fights mentioned.

Billy does not have one fighter in the mentioned above, what a sad sorry state of affairs for Scotland's proposed ''premier'' trainer.

David Brophy trains with Billy and he manages Jason Easton who are both in the opening post mate, I'm not sure if Lewis Ritson (not sure if you are an alt or Lewis) and Mohammad Babazadah would be eligible to fight for the Scottish title.

I never sure why the Celtic titles are so inactive- especially at the higher weights.

I would like to see Darren Trainer v Michael Roberts jnr be good to see Stephen Tiffany v Jon Slowey... Jamie Wilson v Scott Allan is a ******* also put Ian Butcher in that mix..I actually think John Mc callum would beat David Brophy can never understand why that fight wasn't made... Mikey Towell v Kris Carslaw is another good fight no reason all these can't happen now.. Charlie Flynn v Lewis Ritson be interesting I know not Scottish title.. Ronnie Clark v John Simpson I have wanted since Ronnie turned pro.. Huge Simpson fan but always fancied Ronnie to have too much.. Shame this won't happen but good luck to John coaching
